“ It’s my second time here since my last travel a year ago. The quality and freshness of the sashimi are impeccable. Didn’t use soy sauce at all. ”
“ I truly enjoyed my experience at Nakka. As a visitor to Sao Paulo and Brazil overall, I barely spoke any Portuguese. However, my waiter was wonderfully patient and found a way to communicate with me using a translator app lol. I went without a reservation on a Saturday evening hoping to get lucky and I did! I arrived around 9pm and while there were no tables available, I was able to be seated immediately at the sushi bar. This was perfect as I got to watch the chefs in action. Due to the language barrier, I ordered a couple of my usual faves and also opted to let the chefs serve me their recommendations, which did not disappoint. The bar was also excellent, I enjoyed both cocktails that I ordered. Highly recommend a visit to Nakka! Oh, prices were on the high end for SP but for those coming from the US, it’s similar pricing to our sushi restaurants. ”
“ This is more of a place where you go for a night out rather than for the food. The food is good, but it's not a fine dining experience. The service was a bit lacking as nobody speaks English so the communication wasn't greatest, but overall it's ok. The caviar on the menu is served as just a tin of caviar on ice, with nothing to accompany it (no blinis or any of the standard condiments), when asked how are we supposed to eat it, the response was "just put it on the other stuff". If a restaurant offers 15gram tin of caviar for $100, they should at least be aware how it should be served. If you skip the caviar, and treat this place as a trendy place to go and have an evening with friends, its very good in that sense. ”

Nestled in a trendy, bohemian district, Nakka is a spacious restaurant with a stylish interior, featuring two dining rooms and a handful of tables on the terrace. The décor leans towards a darker palette, setting the stage for a sophisticated Japanese dining experience. Food Nakka offers an extensive Japanese menu, perfect for indulging in a variety of small plates. We opted for a selection of sushi and rolls. Sadly, some of the menu items we were particularly looking forward to, including dishes featuring Wagyu beef and Bluefin tuna, were unavailable. Despite this, the sushi we did choose were very good. The uni (sea urchin roe) was of exceptional quality, lacking any iodine taste and boasting a slightly sweet, creamy texture. We also enjoyed the sushi and nigiri with tuna and foie gras – the foie gras was dense, rich, and slightly sweet, perfectly complementing the lean tuna. The combination of lychee fruit with foie gras was an unexpected delight, a flavor pairing we had never encountered before. While the rolls were meticulously crafted with minimal, expertly prepared rice, they felt slightly dry due to the lack of sauce. Service The service was good, though not exceptional, which is what one might expect at a high-end establishment. Dishes were served promptly and dirty plates cleared efficiently. Some servers also spoke English, which was a welcome addition. Conclusion Nakka is an outstanding Japanese restaurant, offering authentic Japanese flavors with a touch of fusion. It's a shame that some items were unavailable. I highly recommend this restaurant for those willing to splurge and savor delicious Japanese cuisine. ”
“ This place was really hyped up as the best Japanese food ever, but not really the reality. It was decent, more on pair with an average Japanese restaurant. For example, we tried a wide variety of the high end nigiri and sashimi, all required the addition of soy sauce to improve the taste - if a Japanese restaurant is going to be considered “the best” at least get the sushi chef game to a level that actually competes with the best. The black cod entree was very good. ”
